DRAFT — pending legal review. The text below describes how Beehelp intends to operate; it is not yet signed off by counsel and is not a substitute for legal advice.
This Privacy Policy explains what data Beehelp collects, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under the GDPR.
1. WHO WE ARE
Beehelp is operated by the Beehelp entity at the address shown at /legal/contact. For data-protection purposes we are the data controller for the personal data you submit to the Platform.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
2.1 Account data: email, hashed password, role (Customer / Professional / Admin), preferred locale.
2.2 Profile data (Professionals): business name, contact details, services, languages, description, photos, verification documents (ID, business registration, professional licence).
2.3 Brief data (Customers): the structured answers you submit via the Q&A stepper, including category, country, free-text description, name, email, optional phone.
2.4 Communications: messages exchanged via Platform messaging, support tickets.
2.5 Reviews: text, rating, and the identity of the reviewer.
2.6 Usage data: debounced page views, contact-click counts, search queries. IP addresses are stored as salted hashes for abuse-detection only and not in plaintext.
3. WHY WE COLLECT IT
(a) Account data — to authenticate you and let you manage your profile.
(b) Profile and verification data — to display you to Customers and prove the credentials you hold.
(c) Brief data — to route requests to matching Professionals.
(d) Usage data — to detect abuse, monitor performance, and improve the Platform.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for behavioural advertising.
4. LEGAL BASES (GDPR ART. 6)
(a) Performance of contract — to provide the Platform you signed up for;
(b) Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing emails;
(c) Legitimate interest — for fraud detection, security, and improving the Platform.
5. WHO WE SHARE WITH
(a) Matching Professionals receive your brief and confirmed email so they can respond.
(b) Sub-processors that host or run parts of the Platform (cloud, email delivery, payment processing for subscriptions). A current list is available on request.
(c) Authorities where required by law.
6. RETENTION
(a) Account and profile data — for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months for fraud-prevention review.
(b) Brief data — 24 months from creation, then anonymised.
(c) Reviews — kept as part of the public record until removal under the review policy.
(d) Logs — 12 months.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@beehelp.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence (CNPD in Portugal, HDPA in Greece).
8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Our infrastructure is primarily located in the EU. Where data is transferred outside the EEA — for example to a sub-processor — we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other GDPR-recognised mechanisms.
9. CHILDREN
The Platform is not directed at, or intended for, children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. CHANGES
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified by email.
